**About the Role**

The Coordinator - Road Safety Fatality will coordinate state-wide activity to support the Department of Transport and Planning’s fatal crash review process in line with safe systems principles. The objective of DTP’s fatal crash review process is to understand why a fatal crash occurred, what caused fatal injuries, understand and document trends and what could be implemented to prevent future fatal crashes. This role will be responsible for the coordination, administration, and reporting of statewide fatal crash reviews. The role will require specialisation in technology systems that operate workflows for the workflows as well as producing data, insights and reporting of fatal crashes statewide. The role will support the Manager in the assurance of quality reporting, training and capability. The role will work with crash investigators in regions as well as road safety specialists across DTP.

**Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**
- Program data, insights and reporting - The role has effectively and successfully delivered reports from fatal crash reviews, aggregated at a statewide level. Data and insights from fatal crashes will be identified and reported in a meaningful way for key program stakeholders
- Technology and systems
- The role has developed intuitive systems which support fatal crash workflows, metrics, self service reporting and assures the overall quality of data within the fatal crash reporting system.
- Quality assurance - The role will assure that fatal crash reporting is conducted in a manner aligned to policy and guidelines.
- Safe System expertise - The role will support the manager in statewide reviews of fatal crashes to ensure that lessons learned are well documented and shared with experts in a timely manner.
- Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations. The role has provided support and helped develop a inclusive space for all team members, working with others to achieve wider road safety objectives in a safe and flexible manner.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Mandatory**
- Experience in technology for tracking and managing workflows.

**Desirable**
- Proficient in data management within the Office 365 environment, including experience in automated

workflows and efficient data handling- Experience using PowerBI, Geospatial software, and Microsoft Power Automate for data analysis, data

linkage and workflow automation.- GIS systems and tools for tracking and managing spatial data.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders
- Experience in road safety
