As we continue to welcome visitors to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and grow our operations, we have an opportunity for an intuitive and hands-on **Purchasing and Receiving Officer** to support our dedicated Food and Beverage Team including, our busy outlets, events and park operations.

**About the Role**
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, in this hands-on role, you will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and purchasing of goods and services and ensuring they meet both quality and pricing standards.

As a highly organised person, you will manage par-levels and stores ensuring that inventory supplies are maintained to support the operations and the accurate recording of transactions and movements across the business. You will regularly participate in stock counts and controls and use your knowledge to communicate fast
- and slow-moving goods to be able to further support our Food & Beverage Operations.

As a person with good working knowledge of WHS and Food Safety, in this role you will ensure the accurate receipt, storage and distribution of goods including fresh food and meats, distribution to our outlets, and ensure the security and safety of stores across the Sanctuary.

As our Purchasing and Receiving Officer you will be responsible for all purchase orders for food, beverage and general goods and accurately check and enter invoices to ensure swift payment and delivery of goods and support good relationships with our suppliers. On a periodic basis or when required you will also conduct costs analysis and work to develop relationships with suppliers to ensure the best value goods and services for the Sanctuary.

**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will have prior experience in a similar and fast-paced role and experience with inventory management. Other key skills and qualifications we are looking for include:

- Previous experience in purchasing, stock control and stock management in a food and beverage/hospitality environment
- Good working knowledge of food safety, general WHS requirements and manual handling
- Experience using Inventory Management Systems (Fedelta is an advantage)
- Good customer service skills and able to develop relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- You will be an excellent problem solver, can demonstrate a flexible, cooperative attitude.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the role which will involve walking, pushing, pulling and some lifting
- Be prepared to work in an outdoor environment, in all weathers, in a role that requires substantial walking in a workplace that contains animals including birds and reptiles.
- Flexible and availability to work across weekends (1 weekend per month).
