Additional Information:

- These roles are Permanent Part-time, 40-60hrs/fortnight.
- The internal job title for these roles are Sales Co-worker or Product Quality & Recovery Co-worker.
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts ranging from 8:00am to 9:30pm. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
- You are required to have full-day availability on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to be considered for a position.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS
- If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a 2-day Welcome induction Monday 13 May and Tuesday 14 May 9:00am-5:00pm.
- If you are successful, your shifts will commence from Monday 13 May 2024.

**About this work area**

As Sales Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.
- Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

We are looking for co-workers in the following areas:
Sales, Showroom (Livingrooms/Bedrooms)
- Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range; and actively learning about their features and benefits.
- Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced.
- Supporting customers with their Livingroom or Bedrooms design process using IKEA 3D rendering software and accessories. You will build strong relationships with the customer throughout their planning journey.

Sales, Self Serve Furniture Area:

- Using inventory systems to ensure stock inventory is correct and up to date.
- Condensing stock, including unloading pallets and cutting boxes open to restock appropriate products and recycling of cardboard.
- Working closely with the Logistics team to ensure the Self Serve warehouse is always well-stocked, tidy and presentable.

Product Recovery & Quality:

- Revitalise products for resale by repackaging and offering them as As-Is items.
- Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality.
- Execute the Product Quality and compliance tasks in the store.

As Sales Co-worker you are or have:

- Passionate about learning and sharing the IKEA product range with customers.
- Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA range.
- Able to prioritise multiple tasks and are comfortable with on-the-job physical activity.
- A customer-focused mindset and always strive to deliver a memorable shopping experience.
- A safety mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive lifting.
- A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently.
