**About the Role**

The Strategy and Performance directorate supports SIRA to carry out its core regulatory functions by providing a diverse range of critical enabling services such as governance and corporate secretariat, audit, risk, compliance, ministerial and parliamentary, privacy, information access and management, workforce capability, strategy and corporate reporting services.

This role is a Sydney-based role.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work dynamically across other streams within the Strategy and Performance directorate to support delivery of core business functions where needed.

**In this role you will**:

- Support the delivery of key initiatives within the Governance and Secretariat function of the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA), including supporting the effective and efficient management of the SIRA Board, Audit & Risk Committee and sub-committees of the SIRA Board.
- Assist, co-ordinate and provide high quality support and advice to SIRA’s Steering Committees.
- Liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including the Chief Executive’s Office, the Executive Leadership Team and teams across SIRA.
- Co-ordinate responses to ministerial and executive enquiries, often within tight deadlines.
- Support a range of administrative functions including coordination and workflow of work in progress in eApprovals, management of a shared mailbox and updating team progress against tasks.
- Assist coordinate and develop a range of projects including the Ministerial reporting, Annual Report, Forward Planning, Corporate Governance Calendar.
- Contribute to continuous improvement including the development and documentation of processes and procedures.
- Support and monitor compliance with the framework for reporting routines, data analysis and fieldwork in the Secretariat to ensure outcomes are achieved.
- Maintain effective reporting routines that provide insights and trends and ensure data integrity and transparency to identify and address issues and opportunities and highlight key performance areas.
- Use a range of systems and databases to extract data, conduct research, analyse data, and develop reports to identify trends and issues and recommend solutions to address delivery issues.
- Interpret and translate data and complex information into clear communication and engaging content.
- Managing complex, sensitive information and consultations and building trust with diverse stakeholders and partners within agreed timeframes, considering their varying expectations, viewpoints and interests.
- Make sound decisions and exercise good judgement in collecting and interpreting complex data and information across a broad portfolio of projects and initiatives.

- Knowledge and understanding of governance and secretariat processes.
- Excellent problem solving, research and analytical skills and the ability to make appropriate recommendations.
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate confidently and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level reports and presentations.
