**Position Information**

Located on Ngunnawal land in the rapidly growing regional centre of Queanbeyan, Queanbeyan High School is a comprehensive high school educating 492 students from diverse backgrounds. 22% of students have English as an additional language or dialect and 14% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Our school has 8 Support classes meeting a wide range of needs. The school team are committed to working to consistently improve the cultural safety of the school, for all students, families, and staff.

- Approval to teach English (7-10), English (11-12).

Demonstrated ability to develop quality and relevant teaching resources and design comprehensive programs aligned with the syllabus to meet diverse learners, including Aboriginal students

Demonstrated ability to use effective classroom management skills and wellbeing practices to create a classroom environment that is engaging, inclusive and fosters a culture of high expectations.
- Demonstrated capacity to work as an effective team member of a faculty and a commitment to whole-school programs
