The role As the Health and Safety Manager, you will lead a dedicated team in providing health and safety support to the operational divisions for the Department of Health. Elevate your career by developing strategies to embed a safety culture across a diverse portfolio including warehousing, transport, laboratories, linen services, and corporate offices across Queensland. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing authoritative and strategic advice regarding hazard management, health and safety legislative requirements, and building capability of leaders on health and safety matters. Additionally, you'll play a vital role in leading a team to achieve a positive safety culture.
The successful personYou will be a dedicated professional with a passion for promoting health and safety within the workplace. You will possess strong technical knowledge and skills in the area of health and safety legislation, standards, Codes of Practice and guidelines, coupled with innovative problem-solving skills that result in client focused solutions. You will have high level consulting, business partnering and communications skills to effectively communicate and positively influence stakeholders in a complex environment. Furthermore, you will have the ability to successfully lead work health and safety programs.
