Owned and Operated by Yancoal Australia, Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is one of the largest open pit operations in the area. Located 15 kilometres south-west of Singleton in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, MTW relies on both draglines and load haul systems as the current and preferred mining method. Our site operates continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week and has a long and proud history, employing approximately 1400 people from local and surrounding communities, who are our most valuable asset.

**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**:
We are seeking experienced and motivated Dragline and Loading Unit Operators to join our Mining Operations team. Reporting to the Mining Supervisor you will be responsible for the safe and productive operation on your allocated crew.

**Skills and Experience**:
To be successful in the role you will also display the following skills and attributes:

- Experience in the operation of Draglines, Dozer CAT D10/D11 and cable handling skills;
- Experience with dozer and dragline navigation systems (Minestar/Mineware etc);
- Experience in the operation of P&H Rope Shovel, Liebherr 9800Excavators, Dozers, and Rubber Tyred Dozers in an open cut coal mining environment;
- An eye for detail and an ability to execute mine designs in a timely manner;
- Strong communication and time management skills;
- Ability to work in a small team to execute the mine plan;
- A proven track record with regard to safe and productive operating practices;
- Ability to meet the requirements of this role with regard to shift work and fitness for work;
- A positive and proactive attitude;
- Current NSW Manual Driver’s license.
