Holmesglen Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Food Services Assistant to join our hotel services team on a part time basis. In this fast paced and varied environment you will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction. We are seeking an energetic, flexible team member available to work rostered shifts over a 7-day rotation. Permanent part time hours negotiable.
**About us**
Holmesglen Private Hospital is a comprehensive 147 beds acute private hospital. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including an emergency department, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and general surgery. These services are supported by a 6-bed intensive care unit, 9-bed acute coronary care unit and 7 operating theatres.
**As a Food Service Assistant your responsibilities will include**:
- Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
- Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
- Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required.
- Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture.
- Provide high standard of customer service
- Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
- Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development
**Essential Criteria**:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Working with Children check (if relevant)
- Experience in Hospitality (desirable)
- Food Handler Certificate or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable)
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Excellent time management skills
- Commitment to service excellence.
- Strong communication and customer skills
- Attention to detail
- Work well independently and within a team
