About the Roles
There are three Deputy Principal roles available.1. Deputy Principal, full time, until 31 March 2023, unless otherwise determined during term 1. This position is backfilling a permanent employee acting long term in a promotional position.2. Deputy Principal, full time, until 31 March 2023, unless otherwise determined during term 1. This position is backfilling a permanent employee acting long term in a promotional position.3. Deputy Principal, full time, until 08 December 2023, unless otherwise determined. This position is a workplace reform and continuation will be evaluated at the end of the 2023 school year.
Applicants will be asked to express their preference for the above available positions.
As a Deputy Principal, you will have responsibility for the following:

- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Lead the school improvement agenda to realise our Strategic plan on an annual basis and improve student learning outcomes.
- Lead Curriculum, teaching and learning improvements and growth across the school for a year level cohort of teams i.e., P-1, 2-3 or 4-6.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
- Manage resources to achieve goals.
