The position works collaboratively with the Directors, the School Psychologists, the School Chaplain and their Co-Head of House on wellbeing issues.

It is desirable that the Head of House teach at least one class of the relevant year level / stage of development.

This is a **full time, 1-year fixed term tenure commencing in January 2024** to cover family leave and the Head of House is expected to develop a full understanding of, and play a significant role in, the wellbeing, support and pastoral care needs of both staff and students in the House.

- Be aligned with the School’s ethos, vision and values.
- Be a qualified teacher and be able to demonstrate a suitable tertiary qualification in teaching and their methods.
- Possess a high level of staff management and leaderships skills.
- Have expert knowledge of wellbeing content and relevant pedagogical and pastoral care approaches.
- Have knowledge in wellbeing issues relevant to the different development stages of students.
- Have an ability and willingness to work collaboratively with other staff, parents and students regarding pastoral and wellbeing issues.
- Have an ability to develop and mentor student leaders across a range of year levels.
- Be willing to be involved in all aspects of the School’s program.
- Have demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills.
- Have skills in and understanding of conflict resolution techniques.
- Be able to work independently but also as part of a dynamic, creative and collaborative team.
- Hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Hold a current Anaphylaxis Certificate
- Hold a current National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months)
