**About the Role**:
Applications are invited for eligible medical officers to join our team to complete their Clinical Year at Mercy Health (Werribee Campus).
Mercy Health has a number of HMO3 (PGY3+) or above Critical Care positions suitable for those applicants who have obtained their General Registration with AHPRA. These positions are offered through direct recruitment by Mercy Health and are twelve (12) months duration commencing 5th February 2024. The program is broken into four (4) terms of roughly equal duration.
Mercy Health offer a supported environment where Senior Medical Staff make an effort to know you personally and our HMO education program comprises weekly education session, incorporating simulation workshops and case-based education sessions.
Mercy Health offers the following rotations as a Hospital Medical Officer (PGY3+) - Critical Care.
- General Medicine
- Emergency Medicine
- Intensive Care
- Anaesthetics
Please Note: Every effort will be made to provide your choice of leave - taking into consideration such things as current training requirements and demands of particular rotations. However this is not a guarantee as this is dependent on the group of successful applicants and the final rotation selection.
**About You**:
- Australian Trained (Permanent Resident) Graduate of a Victorian Medical Faculty
- Australian Trained (Permanent Resident) Graduate of an Interstate Medical Faculty
- Temporary Resident Medical Graduate of a Victorian Medical Faculty
- Temporary Resident Medical Graduate of an Interstate Medical Faculty
- Australian Medical Council Graduate (who has obtained Permanent Residency and is completing the requirements for (or currently holds) General Medical Registration in Australia)
- New Zealand Medical Graduates (Permanent Resident or International full-fee student)
- International Medical Graduate (Australian Permanent Resident) who will complete 12 months of workplace-based assessment at an Australian hospital (Competent Authority Pathway)
**You must**:
- Hold general registration as a medical practitioner by commencement of 2024 Clinical Year
- Be equipped with excellent communication skills and promote the Mercy Values of Compassion, Hospitality, Respect, Innovation, Stewardship and Teamwork.
- Be enthusiastic and motivated to make a real contribution to the provision of high quality care to an ethnically diverse, rapidly growing community

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a General Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing Western suburbs of Melbourne. Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care. The hospital has recently undergone significant expansion with the opening or our new intensive care unit, additional operating theatres and the opening of two new wards, taking the total number of beds to 298.
