- Jul 03, 2023Tradewind is currently working with a growing Primary School in Wyndham Vale, looking for Literacy/Numeracy Tutors to work with small groups of students in years Foundation
- Grade 6. This role can be full-time or part-time with an immediate start. The school uses a Levelled Literacy Intervention Program (LLI) from Fountas and Pinnell.

Working hours are from 8:45am - 2:55pm, Monday to Friday, but a part-time load can be negotiated.

The successful applicants will possess the relevant qualifications for the position and be currently registered or in the process of obtaining registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. Graduates are welcome to apply.

The School:
The Primary School opened in 2015 and has steadily increased in student numbers since that time. The school has an instructional model based around the principles of Visible Learning and uses Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) as a vehicle to drive school improvement. Through these PLCs, staff meet weekly to consider evidence of student learning and to plan for future growth for each individual child.

The school caters to the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students through its comprehensive curriculum offerings and personal learning approaches. Student voice and leadership are highly valued and actively sought, and the School Wide Positive Behavior Program has a high profile throughout the school.

The range of extracurricular activities offered at the school include but are not limited to instrumental music, school camps, enrichment programs, sport, a school concert, and the annual 'Amazing Race' and a Community Picnic. Numerous lunchtime clubs operate throughout the school week to provide students with alternative choices in the playground.

The school is well supported by our wonderful parent body, and the School Council, both of whom are actively involved in many aspects - both planned and incidental - of school life. The school's professional and dedicated team of teachers works collaboratively to get the very best for the children in their care. Ongoing professional learning for the entire staff helps to ensure consistency of practice, and the implementation of high-quality programs.

Key Qualities:
- Experience in Primary teaching advantageous
- Plan, prepare, and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to engage in critical reflection and inquiry in order to improve knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and improve their learning.
- Detailed knowledge of the Australian Curriculum as relevant to the position.
- A passion for engaging every student and demonstrated ability to bring out the best in them.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Education or equivalent
- Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- Full Australian working rights
