We are seeking a dedicated and professional independent contractor to join our team as a Trainer and Assessor in Community Services cert III.

We have just secured a new 6 month course that will be run from July to December 2 days per week and will be located around the Penrith area, with the possibility of extending this course further.

The successful person will provide compliant, quality, and timely training and assessment to students accessing METS RTO services as part of the smart and skilled program.

**Your day-to-day responsibilities will be but not limited to**:

- Professionally represent METS while engaging with customers and uphold the SCOPE customer service charter.
- Maintain a portfolio of assigned learners and seek managerial guidance for any potential barriers to student success
- Maintain positive relationships with workplace supervisors and remove barriers to successful learning outcomes.
- Attending training sessions and meetings punctually, prepared, and in a professional manner.
- Support students in completing their qualifications and achieving milestones as per their Training Plan.
- Conduct training in classroom and workplace environments, both on-site and off-site.
- Induct learners into their qualifications and provide necessary training and tutorial support.
- Observe and document learners' practical skills and review assessment submissions, providing timely feedback.
- Conduct assessments, enter results, and provide relevant feedback through LMS, SMS, and VETtrak.
- Complete all required paperwork and adhere to VET Quality Framework requirements.
- Maintain currency in VET and relevant industry sector practices.
- Maintain effective communication channels with clients, learners, colleagues, and management.

**What we will need you to come with**:

- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
- CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services.
- Minimum of TAE40122 / TAE40116 / TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 valid until 2024).
- Evidence of current industry experience.
- NSW Driver’s License.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of RTO Standards 2015.
- Excellent customer service skills and qualification in CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services.
