Japanese-speaking Accounting Assistant

About This Position

An exciting Full-time Position has become available for an Accounting Assistant to work in the food supply and distribution/export industry. Our Client is a global manufacturers and exporters of quality dairy products/ingredient. They seek for a solid Accounting Assistant to join and support their friendly and diverse team.

The Accounting Assistant position is a Casual start position in Melbourne, between $55K and $70K plus superannuation (plus 25% casual loading). Your key responsibilities include administration duties, accounts payable/receivable, EFT payments, bank reconciliation, month end reporting, monthly BAS, payroll, superannuation, and other ad hoc accounting work.

What does your next role look like?

Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks, including but not limited to:

- Handle financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in financial reporting, compliance, and record-keeping.
- Utilise accounting software and collaborate with the finance team.

A little about you
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting/finance experience.
- Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software.
- Strong MS Excel skills, attention to detail, numerical skills, and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Skills to manage a multi-task workload, meet priorities and varying demands

Working Hour

9:00am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday (Flexible hours may be available)

Salary range

$55,000-70,000 + super (plus 25% Casual Loading for the probation period) - For further details, please inquire.
