The position is a temporary fixed term role through until 30 June 2024, with the possibility of extension.
The Medical Assessment Tribunals consist of over 200 appointed medical specialists sitting regularly on tribunals and making medical decisions about workers' injuries within the Queensland workers' compensation scheme. As a Tribunal Officer your key responsibilities will include being responsible for supporting tribunal hearings across a range of specialty types, as well as working collaboratively to provide seamless administrative support to the Medical Assessment Tribunal. This will include organising and preparing for tribunal hearings, face to face stakeholder liaison and dictation typing, electronic file management and the ability to prioritise and autonomously manage your workload to ensure targets are met.
While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, it would be highly regarded if applicants have:
- experience in customer service and complaints management;
- experience in managing caseloads in a process driven environment;
- high level of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and negotiate while maintaining effective working relationships;
- practical experience in word processing, data entry or electronic file management in paperless office; and
