**About the role (First Nations Identified position)**

Lead the Aboriginal Health Team in this critical role where you'll ensure the delivery of culturally appropriate services and programs across YourCH. You'll use your knowledge and experience to stregthen engagement with our partners and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.

This is a full-time ongoing position reporting to the Director, Community Partnerships.

An Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is sought for this role by Your Community Health as a special measure pursuant to Section 12 of the _Equal Opportunity Act 2010._

**_Your passion and commitment will see you:_**
- Manage and support the Aboriginal Health Team, programs and activities.
- Stregthen relationships with Community Organisations, ACCOs, Peak Bodies, and Government Departments.
- Work in partnership with ACCOs to address program and service delivery gaps.
- Lead organisational wide initiatives to improve services access, delivery and promotion for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.

**_ To succeed in this role you will have:_**
- A relevant qualification or experience in Aboriginal Health, Community Development, Social Work, Health Promotion, Public Helath or Management.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander culture, societies and kinship networks.
- Connection to and knowledge of the local Aboriginal Community (Highly desirable).
- Experience managing projects and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including coaching, negotiation and problem solving.

- A Victorian Working with Children Check (employee).
- A Satisfactory Police Check (paid by YourCH).
- Proof of COVID-19 Immunisations (2 Initial doses and at least 1 Booster).
- NDIS Work Screening Clearance.
