We operate nine retail showrooms across Queensland and Sydney with our support office and distribution Centre based in South Brisbane.
**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a talented Power BI Developer to join our team at our head office in Rocklea Brisbane. This is a full-time role, you will take ownership of the design, development, and implementation of Power BI solutions, providing training and support to employees, and generating data modelling and advanced analytics to enhance business performance.
The Empire Office Furniture business has many moving parts, so the ability to multitask and prioritise support would be essential.
**The Team and Structure**
Empire has close to 200 employees across the 9 locations. The IT team is a team of five with cross functional support from other departments, you will work together with the IT team and report to the IT Manager.

**Key responsibilities**:
- Lead the design and development of BI reporting for multiple business units, including Accounting, Sales, Despatch, and HR.
- Connect to data sources, import data, and transform data for Business Intelligence.
- Develop tabular and multidimensional models.
- Prototype, design, and analyse requirements, ensuring business needs are met.
- Mentor Power Users and other business users in the development and deployment of Data Models, Reports, and Dashboards.
- Work closely with the IT team and Power Users to perform data extraction and transformation processes.
- Implement feedback from business users and ensure the dashboard is correctly set up for production environment refreshes.
**What we are looking for from you**:
- Experience in the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack, including Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS.
- Experience in data preparation, data gateway, and data warehousing projects.
- High degree of accuracy with data management and analytical assessment.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, Excel, and other relevant reporting tools.
- Experience with ETL processes.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Experience with Business Reporting and Performance Tracking concepts for Sales, HR and accounting and other business sectors.
- Experience with Advantage Database Server.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant experience.
- Certification in Power BI or Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack is advantageous.
