Could you be the full-time EHS Coordinator in Milperra we’re looking for?

**Your future role**

You’ll add to the delivery of Alstom's scope on the Sydney Metro City and Southwest Project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, taking care of the technical writing of procedures and forms to develop and maintain the EHS and Rail Safety Management plans for the Project and much more.

You’ll specifically review and test the various emergency plans and delivery of safety induction training.

We’ll look to you for:

- Ensure that the Drug and Alcohol program and Fatigue Management program are implemented and that effective record managment suports these programs
- Procatively involved in deploying safety programs in order to achieve objectives and drive continuous improvement across the function
- Assist in project system audits, followng up actions to closure and reporting on outcomes and knowledge managment improvements
- Keeping abreast and informing Project Senior Management of legislation changes or changes in requirements which effect the Project activities
- Prioritising accidents / incidents are first prevented and if occuring, writing thorough reports, recording the incident, ensuring it has been investigated and analysed
- Ensure safety audits and inspections are completed as per the relevant schedule
- Ensure consultation and communication activities are being undertaken on the project through Health and Safety Representatives and OHS Committees
- Assist in preparation of EHS and Rail Safety monthly statistical reports and client reports
- Implementation of environment requirements and monitor their safety performance
- Onsite support during track possessions, inluding occasional night shift and weekend work

**All about you**

We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about problem solving. You will also have
- Diploma in health and safety or equivalent
- Rail, infrastructure or heavy industrial construction project experience in a similar role
- Sound understanding and knowledge of local legal and regulatory health and safety requirements
- Initiative, drive and resilience, witht he ability to influence people at all levels within the operations
- Strong knowledge of safe working systems, legislation, rules and procedures
