**About the role**
- Respite Assistant
- Buddy Support Worker
- Administration Assistant support

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- providing person-centred, safe and effective community respite service in accordance with the client's well-being care plan
- supporting clients to engage in appropriate physical, mental and social activities including connecting clients to the community through bus trip outings
- reporting the Site Leader of any significant change in the client’s participation,
engagement, health, behaviour or emotional well being
- Listening, with empathy, to the client and their representatives about the client’s needs, goals and preferences
- providing safe transportation to and from locations
- undertaking general administration tasks as indicated by the Community Respite Program Lead & Respite Administration when not delivering client services
- contributing to the effectiveness of the Community Respite team by working collaboratively with colleagues, including attending meetings as required
- keeping concise and accurate records of care and services provided and the client’s response

**About you**

We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care & Senior First Aid Certificate
- Relevant dementia qualifications and/or experience
- previous hospitality experience
- experience in dementia care and working with older adults in a meaningful way, i.e. towards a social, physical and/or mental goal
- sound initiative, organisational and time management skills
- strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- proficient computer skills and the ability to use/willingness to learn Google Suite software (Docs, Sheets, Gmail and in-house databases)
- basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards as are applicable to the role
- current driver's licence
- applicants with a Certificate III or IV in Leisure & Lifestyle will be highly regarded
