An opportunity has arisen for an experienced** Procurement Officer **to join our wholesale team on a full-time basis, based in Milton, Queensland. This role gives you the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and thriving team where no two days are the same.

In this role, you will support the
**Head of Wholesale Operations**. This role will require an individual who is proactive and highly organised. You will have the ability to manage a large number of stakeholders and vendors and provide reporting around cost and vendor performance. You will have a ‘problem solver’ mindset and provide insights on change to improve efficiencies and processes and be able to work to timelines and deadlines.

**What you will do**
- Create, place and track orders to ensure accurate, timely and cost competitive products and services are sourced and delivered.
- Planning, monitoring and maintaining suitable inventory levels in line with sales forecasts and local financial responsibility
- Negotiating with vendors and building positive working relationships
Setting supplier agreements and contracts, terms and conditions.
- Preparing competitive retail and pricing strategies for ensure cost and quality competitiveness.
- Ensure products are purchased at the right time (JIT) and to specification (Quality), taking into account Lead Times, Supply Chain challenges.
- Compiling reports on product performance and statistics with the aim to reduce costs, maintain and improve product/service quality.

**What you bring**
- Solid administration experience with previous experience in stock takes and/or cycle counting
- Ability to maintain records and files, organising files and compiling reports
- Contract establishment and management expertise
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities by demonstrating flexibility in approach to tasks and adaptability when dealing with a number of priorities
- A natural communicator with the ability to build sustainable relationships with the branch network and stakeholders.
- Well written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant Procurement accreditation
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint
