**About the Role**

The Government Grants Specialist will be responsible for identifying, securing and managing government grants that support Arts Centre Melbourne’s mission and programs. In this role, you’ll develop and maintain relationships with government agencies, ensuring compliance with grant conditions, and work with internal teams to craft compelling grant proposals.

**Full-time ongoing role, Band 4.2 $104,636.00 plus superannuation.**

**About You**
- Experienced in securing government grants in the arts and creative industry
- Firsthand experience and knowledge of the performing arts
- Highly organised and detail oriented with a knack for research
- An excellent communicator and collaborator

**Your Skills and Experience (key criteria)**
- Demonstrated track record in securing government funding in the arts/creative industries or in an allied sector
- Familiarity with the government landscape and funding opportunities in Australia
- A tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Arts Management, Public Administration or related field
- Industry knowledge with direct involvement in the delivery of arts projects
- Ability to represent Arts Centre Melbourne and build strong and trusted relationships with influential government and industry stakeholders
- High interpersonal and written communication skills; the ability to shape key messages for organisational priorities and funding
- Strong research and analytical skills; high level of organisation and attention to detail
- Team player with demonstrated experience working across multi-disciplinary teams and cross organisational functions to achieve results.

The Strategy, Advocacy and Partnerships team exists to secure a sustainable future for Arts Centre Melbourne. This team is responsible for guiding organisational strategy and planning; forging strategic partnerships with government, business and tertiary institutions; and advocating for Arts Centre Melbourne’s priorities, and public and industry value.
