**The Opportunity**:

- Lithgow City Council _has an exciting opportunity for a **Temporary** **Branch Library Officer **to join their team for up to **12 months** in Lithgow, NSW.

Reporting to the Library Coordinator, you will be responsible for the operation of the Branch Library including building partnerships between the library and the local community. This role with Lithgow City Council Libraries will be required to work across all library branches, predominately at the Portland and Wallerawang branches on a rotating roster.

As a Branch Library Officer you will undertake the following:

- Provision of high-quality Library services that are responsive to the current and future needs of the community
- Oversee the running and development of the Branch Library in day-to-day operation
- Work with the Library Coordinator, Branch Library Officer and the Children’s and Youth Librarian to contribute to overall planning and continuous improvement of the Branch Service
- Facilitate relationships between Library and Council departments to provide relevant services, programs, and collections
- Develop and nurture partnerships with relevant community stakeholders

**About you**:

- Library Technician qualifications or higher
- At least 2 years experience working in a public library
- Experience in the delivery of quality customer service to internal and external customers
- Commitment to Work Health and Safety
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated commitment to the principals of honesty and integrity

- Between $883.12 and $976.42 per week, commensurate with your skills, qualifications and experience
- Part-time, 28 hours per week
- Standard Hours range from 9am to 6pm Tuesday to Friday and 9am to 12pm on Saturdays.
