Reporting to the Operations and Finance Manager, the Finance Administrator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording and reconciliation of transactions and accounts, working collaboratively with all team members, volunteers, fundraisers and grant recipients to support Variety SA’s position as a leading children’s charity in South Australia. This role is 25 hours per week.

**THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITES**:

- Accounts Receivable - Recording and correct allocation of cash receipt transactions across accounting and CRM platforms
- Preparation of reconciliation worksheets to support CRM financial transactions
- Preparation of Daily/Weekly reconciliations for review by Operations and Finance Manager
- Accounts Payable - Recording and correct allocation of accounts payable invoices and preparation of weekly payment batch for authorisation by management
- Generation of Invoices
- Respond and support queries from entrants and Variety team members in regards donor receipting and other financial transactions
- Preparation of appropriate work instruction documents
- Completion of processing in line with audit, charity and organisation processes
- General bookkeeping and recording of database information as required
- Administrative support during Annual Audit
- Assistance with Board Financial Reporting as required
- Financial Administration Support for entrants, donors and co-workers as required
- Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts as identified by Operations & Finance Manager

**IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE**:

- Demonstrated capability in cash management, accounts payable and receivable
- Relevant training and experience to the position description
- Good understanding of general ledger accounts and double entry accounting principles
- Experience using MYOB / Xero
- High level of accuracy
- Passion for making a difference to kids and their families
- Demonstrate the values of equality, community, action and joy in all interactions internally and externally
- Ability to work constructively and collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to actively participate in all Variety activities
- Demonstrable emotional intelligence, empathy and strong interpersonal skills
- Reliable and hardworking, with high levels of enthusiasm and energy
- Current drivers licence
