**About the role**

Peninsula Private Hospital currently has the opportunity for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our Allied Health team working 12-16 hours per week across Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to experience a varied caseload including general medical, adult rehabilitation and orthopaedics.

Peninsula Private is a 70 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 3 operating theatres located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthamology and internal medicine and the delivery** **of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.***

**As a Dietitian your responsibilities will include**:

- Demonstrates professional practice by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements, Healthscope’s polices and processes, required registration, scope of practice and patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Fosters a learning environment by maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to student dieticians and Allied Health Assistants.
- Act as a valued member of the interdisciplinary team, including, Catering, Medical, Nursing, Allied Health and other staff and actively contributing to team processes and practices to provide an experience that makes a difference.
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum.
- Maintains professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent)
- Current Accreditation with Dietitians Australia
- Acute hospital experience preferred
- Exceptional time management and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Proven excellence in customer service delivery
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence based practice
