We are a highly credentialed team across project development, financing, commissioning and operations, with over 30 years combined experience in the alternative waste treatment and resource recovery industries.
**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Group HSEQ Manager, the position of HSEQ Advisor is responsible for guiding and advising Leaders and teams on HSE practices, implementing HSE systems and processes at site or functional level to ensure that our people work safely and improve HSE compliance, capability and culture.
**Key Accountability**:
- Partner with and support site leaders & operations teams to develop, support and implement Re.Group's HSE systems and processes, creating an affective HSE culture.
- Build Leader and Team Member capability, understanding and awareness of HSE, workers compensation and injury management.
- Partner site leaders and teams to ensure effective implementation of risk management, emergency management, incident management and contractor management.
- Administration support to the HSE Manager in development of HSE policy & procedures & maintain HSE document control in Re.Assure.
- Coach site leaders and teams in the development of site HSE plans and Re.Assure implementation, where applicable.
- Partner with HR on workers compensation and injury management, facilitating the early intervention for work and non-work injuries.
- Collate, drive & monitor adherence to Re.Group's monthly HSE targets & collate monthly statistics for business reporting.
- Support all leaders in providing a consistent and integrated approach to HSE within their site.
- Make safety a priority and champion a safety culture with all Re.Group team members.
- Actively participate in Re.Group’s processes and ensure 100% completion within agreed timeframes.
- Contribute to team culture and improvement plans.
- 3+ years in generalist HSE role, with exposure to a waste and recycling environment.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety or equivalent / Tertiary qualification (preferred)
- Return to Work Coordinator Certificate or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Fundamental understanding of Workplace Health & Safety and Workers Compensation legislation
- Knowledge of risk and incident management
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to engage, influence and think independently
- High level of attention to detail, while being able to meet deadlines
- Business acumen skills to understand the drivers of business performance and success and the link to HSE.
- High level of administration skills - policy & procedure development, systems administration & reporting.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
