**Job Purpose**:
We are seeking an experienced Colour Specialist for our Port Melbourne site, working as a key part of the commercial and customer relation team, fully responsible for any color matching, colour formulation development and adjustment, provide advanced level of support and best practice resolution for the commercial, local sales team and customers.

This role will be working at AkzoNobel Vehicle Refinishing Colourlab and visiting customer site regularly. The role will fully be responsible of Colour and formulation developing, mixing and matching process, manage and improve Ready Mix procedure, manage both paint and non-paint equipment stock level in Colourlab, conduct the first level of investigation for any colour complaints and enquiries, provide Colour training for local technicians and bodyshops.
- In this role, your key responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
- Manage paint tinting, mixing, and matching process, provide custom color formulation or variant as customer requests for all ANZ customers.
- Collect and summarise accurate and precise formulation records of all different colors and ensure all latest formulation and variant are updated in MIXIT for local technician and customer to access.
- Responsible for any Colour lab projects including existing formulation review, new product launch and testing, assesses color samples for accuracy based on visual or coloristic data evaluations, perform testing and colour matching on sprayout cards or panels.
- Manage full Ready Mix Order procedure reduce the complexity and improve efficiency on RM order supply from mixing Ready Mix Order to order delivery.
- Establish, implement and managing Colour Lab paint and non-paint stocks procedure to manage/reorder/transfer all Paint/Non-Paint products in Colour Lab, ensure sufficient stocks to supply RM/Training/Testing/Colour matching and installation for non-Paint.
- Create, implement, and manage Colour complaint procedure to work with State Technical teams, and Colour Support Expert on any Colour complaint request, set up time frame, stage gate, stakeholders, and workflow to ensure colour complaint is handled in a consistent and timely manner.
- Collect and summarise formulation data, develop and provide tracking and reporting on toner usage, popularity at national, state, customer level.
- Work with local technician and national trainer for any training request come in to ensure bodyshops are updated with all colour training module.
- First point of contact to provide troubleshooting assistance to customer and local technical team for colour enquiries, colour complaints and other relevant inquiries, on-site visits to the bodyshop if required.
- Perform other technical enquiries, assistance and support when required.

- Experienced in precise color matching of custom paint jobs.
- High attention to detail to create precise color samples and keep accurate records.
- Have a proven ability as a team player to deal with conflicts, require initiative, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Able to work under minimum supervision and independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer focused.
- Basic skills in the MS (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
