**Assistant Director & Educational Leader - North Ryde**

Full Time position | 38 hours a week | North Ryde

Great opportunity to join this beautiful NFP OSHC service in Sydney’s North Ryde as the Assistant Director and Educational Leader.

The centre has genuine child centred practices - they foster an environment of inclusion, collaboration, imagination and respect. The centre encourages children to engage in opportunities for self-discovery, environmental awareness, social and emotional growth in a safe and nurturing environment.

The centre understands and values the role of the Educational Leader and is supportive in ensuring to provide them with the support, time and resources they need.

- Ample admin time provided for programming, well above the recommended 2 hours, to use to plan and implement fun programs for children - be in control of what the children are involved in, helping to develop their social and emotional skills.
- Positive job working with 5-12 year olds.

**What's involved?**
- Assist the Director with the overall management and administration of the service.
- Create fun programs for the children at the centre.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the service in the temporary absence of the Director.
- Contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Work with the Director to develop and deliver a quality service to meet the needs of the children and the school community.
- Provide a positive, safe and professional environment.

**Who are we looking for?**
- A relevant qualification to the childcare / teaching industry or other relevant qualification or working towards.
- 2 years minimum experience working in a child care setting.
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, National Quality Standards and National Law and Regulations.
- Leadership or managing others experience.
- Great communication, time management, organisational skills and leadership abilities.
- A positive, professional and co-operative approach to working with educators, parents and the school community.
- **CHCPRT001**:Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection.
- **HLTAID004**: Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting.
