**About the Teachers Registration Board**:
The Teachers Registration Board (the TRB) is established under the Teachers Registration and Standards Act 2004 (the Act) and the Teachers Registration and Standards Regulations 2021 (the Regulations) to regulate the teaching profession. The object of the Act is, in the public interest, to maintain a teacher registration system and professional standards for teachers to ensure its members are competent, fit and proper to have the care of children.

The TRB is an independent statutory authority, with a dynamic, integrated operating environment of staff less than 32 persons, with flexible leadership and a practical focus on day-to-day implementation, where advancing teacher suitability requires both a cross-agency and team approach between TRB groups.

The TRB employs its own staff and is a public sector agency under the _Public Sector Act 2009_. The TRB has entered into an Administrative Agreement with the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment (the Commissioner) and complies with the Commissioner’s Determinations, Guidelines and the Code of Ethics for the South Australian Public Sector. The TRB adheres to Work Health and Safety requirements, equal opportunity principles and public sector principles. The TRB are committed to creating a diverse workgroup.

The South Australian Public Sector Salaried Employees Interim Award and the South Australian Public Sector Enterprise Agreement: Salaried 2021 governs the employment conditions of the Board.

**About this exciting opportunity**:
**The Project Officer - Human Resource and Payroll Management**

The HR Project Officer will be instrumental in providing strategic HR services across the TRB to ensure the achievement of operational business goals. The HR Project Officer will operate within TRB Workforce policies and procedures delivering a standardised, best practice system of Human Resource Management service across the TRB.

The HR Project Officer will be influential in driving a focus of continuous improvement, engaging at both leader and employee level engendering proactive and solution focused business relationships.

This role is offered as an ASO6 as a part time role of.6 FTE, located in the heart of the Adelaide’s CBD restaurant and café precincts.

The role is accountable to the Manager, Corporate Services for:

- undertaking work under broad direction in the management and delivery of a human resource management service which targets current and future organisational needs.
- improving organisational processes by contributing to improvement initiatives, fostering a good customer service.
- facilitating the implementation of proactive workforce strategies and interventions driving continuous improvement, performance and accountability and promoting a culture that assures the achievement of the TRB strategic objectives.
- works closely with the Manager, Corporate Services to provide support and guidance to unit managers to achieve the TRB strategic goals and priorities.
- identifies business risks and provides expert support and advice on complex HR matters.
- maintaining an up-to-date employee manifest, as well as managing leave entitlements within TRB’s CHRIS 21 payroll system.
- providing support to the finance team to drive effective payroll procedures and systems to ensure the Teachers Registration Board meets whole-of-government and agency standards, legislative and best practice requirements.

**Essential Minimum Qualifications**:
Post-secondary qualification in a Human Resource Management or a related field.
