We have a fantastic opportunity for a driven and passionate person to join the Dexus team as an Assistant Treasurer.

About the role:
As an Assistant Treasurer at Dexus, you’ll have a direct impact on the operation of our business. Your contribution will shift the way our people work and how our projects come to life, enabling the broader Dexus team to progress.

Reporting into the Head of Treasury, the Assistant Treasurer is responsible for developing and implementing all funding and financial risk management activities across Dexus and its funds management platform. In undertaking these functions, you will utilise the various financial/treasury systems and processes and assist in achieving best practice, efficient processes, and excellent customer service.

How will you make an impact:
The Assistant Treasurer will have a focus on continuous improvement of treasury management systems and processes to ensure best practice, efficient processes, and excellent customer service, whilst managing a direct report & assisting the Head of Treasury to build a high-performance culture across Group Treasury team.

Day to day responsibilities include:

- Manage the preparation of the annual Funding Plan, Financial/Investment Plans, hedging analysis and Treasury Policy reviews across the DEXUS platform
- Develop the ongoing strategy for liquidity management and oversee its implementation to support the requirements of the business
- Negotiate, document & execute all transaction documentation across the DEXUS platform ensuring consistency with existing arrangements and reflecting DEXUS’ commercial intentions
- Oversee, through collaboration with the Treasury Services team, delivery of all stakeholder reporting across the DEXUS platform, including Board, Capital Market Committee, Unlisted, compliance & rating agencies
- Assess and interpret all treasury related analysis and reporting provided by Treasury Services across the DEXUS platform to present key messages to stakeholders (ie senior management, Capital Markets Committee and Board) and enabling them to make informed decisions
- Actively manage relationships with external stakeholders (banks, debt investors, derivative counterparties, and rating agencies) to support the delivery of the DEXUS Treasury Strategy

About You:
In addition to your proven treasury/finance executive experience in a business of a similar scale and complexity, you will be able to demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management, a strong commercial acumen and a great eye for detail.

We are also looking for:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Finance, Economics or Business
- Further studies in a related discipline advantageous (with CA/CPA qualified preferred)
- Demonstrated capability to srive and lead strategy, initiatives, and process improvement
- Exposure to:

- Funding in global debt markets (both public & privates issues);
- Financial risk management (i.e. transacting in interest rate & FX derivative markets);
- Documentation of complex borrowing & risk management transactions; and
- Treasury reporting to Board & Capital Market Committee (or similar)
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Exposure to treasury management systems (ideally Integrity & Bloomberg) and business intelligence systems (ideally TM1)
- Prior experience in property sector and with stapled trust structures would be advantageous.
