**Job Description**:
- The procurement team is responsible for the end-to-end management of all procurement activities within the Australian region, including Regional Category Management, Sourcing & Contracts, Project Procurement and Purchasing. The team works with regional business and Supply Chain stakeholders to implement and manage performance of contracts and suppliers, grow the host community supply base and ensure effective supply of goods and services required for operation.
Key accountabilities:
- Identify and develop category management opportunities within Australia.
- Provide support across the end-to-end strategic procurement process including developing procurement strategies, leading negotiations to achieve commercially favourable outcomes and providing advice to the business operations.
- Develop and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships with Anglo American’s operations.
- Ensure execution of improvement initiatives to reach and exceed business plans.
- Adhere to global commercial standards that will enable delivery in a safe and socially acceptable way and ensure that the organisation sources from responsible suppliers.
- Qualifications
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- High level commercial acumen, negotiation and communication skills.
- Skilled in framing opportunities and analysis to refine presentations and business cases for development and execution.
- Experienced stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and consult across a broad range of stakeholders.
- Previous experience in Contracts and Procurement.
- Tertiary Degree or equivalent qualification in a related discipline including engineer, business or Law. A CIPS Certificate or Diploma in Purchasing or Supply is desirable.
