**About the role**

As a Land Services Officer you will be delivering services and advice to the community to assist in the management of landscapes and natural resources, particularly biodiversity, bushland and waterways across Greater Sydney. You will be working in a collaborative team of expert science practitioners and community engagement specialists to make a real difference on the ground and in influencing land manager practice change. You will be mentored by knowledgeable and skilled senior staff to build you skills and experience and your ability to contribute to our productive and respectful workplace culture.

Key duties will include:

- Working with landholders, agencies, and non-government organisations to develop projects and programs to enhance environmental assets and outcomes through on-ground activity and community engagement
- Project managing on-ground and devolved projects as well as collecting and collating data on project outcomes for reporting purposes
- Identifying strategic opportunities for Greater Sydney LLS to invest in or to value-add to existing programs to maximise environmental outcomes

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will have;
- A degree in environmental, natural resource management, agricultural, biosecurity and emergency management and/or equivalent level of industry knowledge and experience
- An understanding of, and experience in, environmental management in the Greater Sydney region
- An understanding of, and experience in, the use of Geographic Information Systems and field mapping, spreadsheets and databases

**Essential requirements**
- Knowledge and understanding of agricultural, environmental, natural resource management, biosecurity and emergency management issues
- Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel
