**About **the opportunity**:
The Technical Data Analyst will provide support for maintaining our modern data platform in Microsoft Azure. They will learn and manage our ETL processes with infrastructure and 3rd party vendors, and actively participate in technical analytics activities to monitor and enhance AFCA's data models.

In this role, it is important to collaborate with AFCA's business teams, as well as internal and external technology and analytics service providers, to ensure the delivery of sustainable, innovative, and ethical data solutions that align with AFCA's strategic goals.

The Technical Data Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of AFCA's data services and the successful implementation of its future data and AI roadmaps.
- Note: This is a full-time position based in Melbourne. Hybrid working arrangements are available. _

Typically, in this role you will:

- Conduct maintenance/support activities for AFCA's data platform.
- Monitor and maintain ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and other tools.
- Maintain and develop scalable data models in the modern data platform within AFCA's change management process.
- Support the development of analytical models, tools, and dashboards.
- Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and project teams.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a Data related field, with relevant experience in cloud-based data platforms, data analysis, and/or IT and data projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience in data analytics technologies such as SQL, cloud data services, and ETL concepts/tools.
- Familiarity with data modeling, including physical and logical model development, as well as dimensional models.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while being adaptable and responsive to change.
