**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Consultant within the Upper Gastroenterology Unit
- The successful applicant will have an FRACS or equivalent and be eligible for enrolment on the Specialist Register of South Australia.
- The appointee will have significant experience in the field of general surgery including laparoscopic surgery and upper GI endoscopy.
- The appointee will have specialised training in Upper GI surgery, and/or complex hepato-biliary and pancreatic surgery, advanced laparoscopic skills including experience in laparoscopic fundoplication and bariatric surgery.
- Clinical research expertise and a commitment to ongoing research is essential.
- The incumbent will be responsible for managing the care of all patients allocated to them in collaboration with the responsible Medical Officers, Registrars, fellow Consultants, Nurses and Allied Health professionals.
- The incumbent must undertake a commitment to continuous quality improvement activities including regular Surgical Audit.

To be eligible for this position, you must have
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate
