We are currently providing an exiting opportunity to work as an apprentice to undertake a formal qualification to become an Industrial Conveyor Belt Technician.

As an apprentice, you will learn critical skills required to achieve qualifications as Industrial Conveyor Belt Technician. You will undertake a formal apprenticeship as part of their employment achieving recognised qualifications in **Polymer Processing, Certificate III**.

As an apprentice, you will be trained in all aspects of conveyor belt maintenance and repair. You will be trained on both mobile and fixed plant equipment. You will gain valuable skills and qualifications highly sought after within the mining industry. For selected apprentices formally qualified as a Conveyor Belt Technician, you can expect competitive remuneration and ample employment opportunities within the mining industry.

**The Role**:
We are currently seeking an apprentice for our team of experienced conveyor system technicians to join our Caboolture location.
- Carry out tasks as required by the technician to ensure efficient and cost-effective completion of the job.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and concern for job-turnaround and customer downtime
- General workshop duties, including maintenance tasks, stock management, cleaning, and paperwork
- Ensure company's belt splicing procedures and standards are followed and upheld
- Comply with the company's workplace health & safety policies
- Be prepared to undertake a formal apprenticeship if deemed suitable.

**About you**:
The person we require is/has:

- Mechanically minded and reliable
- A good hands on approach to work practices and the ability to think on your feet and be able to find solutions to any issues that may arise
- Ability to follow instruction as well as work well as an individual or as part of a team
- Able to demonstrate good organisation and communication skills
- A responsible attitude and a willingness to be held accountable

A current driver's license (or close to gaining) is essential.

Willingness to work outside of hours and across various customer sites is required.

Be able to pass a pre-employment assessment as well as onsite random drug & alcohol testing. Health Surveillance tests are required to access some of our customer sites.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
