**About the opportunity**

As a Safety Specialist you will partner with our senior leaders to deliver on the safety strategy for each of these business units/regions. Your purpose will be to provide expert safety technical advice and coach our managers to create a mature and inclusive safety culture aligned with our values across our key parcel and mail processing and transport facilities.

**What you’ll deliver with us**

**You’ll also**
- Provide ongoing coaching to supervisors, HSR’s and managers regarding Safety leadership and culture, and upholding appropriate Safety standards in the workplace
- Support line management to conduct quality, timely incident investigations by monitoring adherence to policies and procedures, identifying contributing factors, root cause details and improvement actions
- Identify and share safety learnings across the wider team and network, and encourage the use of story telling and other communication methods by managers and employees to improve the safety culture of the organisation
- Bring strong knowledge of relevant Safety legislation, policies and processes, the ability to deliver on agreed activities involving multiple stakeholders.
- Lead a culture within the Function that fosters the One Australia Post approach, focuses on safety & wellbeing and puts the customer at the forefront of all activities and decisions

You are a highly skilled and level-headed professional with the ability to influence and make a lasting impact within safety and Logistics. As an integral member of our complex organisation, your experience in these areas will be valued and leveraged to empower and coach your stakeholder, mitigate risks, and enhance our overall operation from a safety perspective. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, implement innovative strategies, and drive positive change, contributing to the success of our organisation.

**You’ll also**
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar safety advisory role in a large organisation
- Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation within an operational environment including chain of Responsibility is ideal
- OH&S qualification (Minimum Cert IV or Diploma)
- Sound communication, collaborative and excellent influencing skills
