Sales Assistant

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role is centred around providing training of metal detectors with the sale and hire of detectors.

In this role you will:

- Assist customers with the purchase or hire of detecting equipment.
- Provide customers with high quality training for detector hire and sales.
- Ensure stock and store presentation is of a high standard.
- Assist management with ensuring consistency across the store in all aspects of store operation and training.

**Skills & Experience**
- Metal Detecting/Prospecting Experience (strongly desired but not essential, with demonstrated willingness to learn)
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills in customer service
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated experience in achieving consistency across all store operations
- Previous experience with Retail POS systems preferred

The role will suit someone with metal detecting and prospecting knowledge, preferably with customer service and sales experience.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Part-time or Full-time hours available (18-38hrs) per week. Be available to work weekdays, rotating Saturdays and occasional events when required.
- Be physically fit for a retail environment and manual handling tasks (A medical may be required)
- Police Clearance required

**ABOUT YOU**

We are looking for a proactive person who enjoys working in a busy place within a small structured team environment. If you have exceptional customer service and trouble shooting abilities you will excel in this role. Your ability to readily follow instructions and assist in ensuring consistency across the operations will be a positive attribute to this role.

You will understand the importance of safety in the workplace and adhere to all policies and procedures at all times.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 18-38 per week

**Salary**: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Midvale, WA 6056: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)

- English (required)
