This role is based in our Financial Control & Compliance department, Operations Division. The Finance work environment is dynamic and collaborative with a strong focus on delivering service quality. Finance is committed to making it easier for stakeholders to access services and the information they need and reduce the time they spend on finance activities.

**Why Your Role Matters**:
As Financial Control & Compliance (FCC) Manager, you will be the second line of defence to UNSW’s financial controls. Reporting the Senior Manager, FCC, you will be developing and overseeing continuous monitoring processes in key financial risk with the aim of maintaining/improving financial control and compliance across the University.

You will be a key advisor to the UNSW’s senior stakeholders to ensure a greater emphasis on the audit, risk, and financial considerations crucial for the successful management of the University by:

- Contributing expert advice and manage the development and implementation of continuous monitoring processes in key financial risk areas.
- Proactively performing detailed analyses on available risk and compliance data to monitor for suspicious activities and identify high risk business processes and activities.
- Facilitating and managing the implementation of initiatives and necessary changes to improve university-wide procedures and processes.
- Ensuring financial data integrity across the financial functions.

**Who You Are**:You will hold a Tertiary qualification in accounting and CA/CPA qualified alongside:

- Experience gained in a large, complex enterprise (Big 4 audit and commercial experience preferred).
- Extensive experience in analysing reports, policies and procedures, with the ability to identify significant gaps and issues, as well as keen eye for designing and implementing improvements.
- Successful commercial experience in managing a business service or program, including assessment of risk, management of service deliverables and liaising with senior key stakeholders
- Proven skills in analysing and resolving complex issues and providing effective solutions or advice to senior staff
