**About the role**:
Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective fleet management service, including purchases and sales of fleet, administration of leasing agreements, administration of fuel card transactions and monitoring of pool vehicles.

You will ensure asset related transactions are updated in the asset management system and reconciled to the general ledger, and will liaise with the Assets Management Team to ensure accurate financial data is maintained. You will assist the Asset Accountant with the stocktake of Council’s assets, processing of depreciation journals and other financial reporting.

You will join a collaborative, motivational and hardworking team who strives for success.
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting and/or demonstrated experience in an appropriate field.
- High level computer software skills including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and Electronic Document Management.
- Understanding of accounting for assets and experience in maintaining a computerised Asset Management system.
- Experience in managing a large passenger fleet and leasing arrangements.
- Highly developed organisational and administrative skills with an attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of the Local Government Act and Local Government Regulations in relation to tendering.
- High level oral and written communication skills to a broad range of audiences.
