- As Pathology Courier, you will be responsible for the picking-up and transportation of Pathology Samples, Specimens, Blood/Blood Products X-rays, Vaccines and clinical waste, this could be across Medical Centres, Collection Centres, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, and Veterinarian Surgeries for delivery to Laboratories in various locations.- You will be ensuring a safe and efficient process as you manage 30+ stops per day, playing a crucial part in providing quality health services to the people in our communities.- This is a full time role working from Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm across the Western Suburbs.**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Pick-up and delivery of Pathology Samples, Specimens, Blood/Blood Products X-rays, Vaccines and clinical waste to and from referring customers
- Liaising between Referring Medical Practitioners and the Medical Liaison Officer with regards to store orders
- Preparation and delivery of reports and stock control in main laboratory
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and integrity
- Following operating procedure to complete correct specimen coding documentation
- Compliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Work Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance processes

**About you**
- Valid open Australian driver’s license with an excellent driving record
- Ability to work various shifts including rostered weekends and public holidays
- Great interpersonal skills you will use to liaise with different stakeholders as well as strong written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills, juggling up to 30 stops per day
- Physical capability to be able to handle equipment weighing regularly up to 10kg -15kg
- The ability to follow instructions and use initiative to make sound decisions
- Previous courier experience is considered highly advantageous
- Hold a working with Children’s Check or be willing to obtain one
- You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work

**Requirements**:

- Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B is a requirement of this role
- Other vaccinations based on location may be required / setting
