**POSITION TITLE**: Tank Construction Supervisor /Permit officer

**REPORTS TO**:Tank Project Manager

**Salary**: $70-$80/hr+ super+ accommodation and additional benefits.

Contract Length: 12 - 24 months with an opportunity for a permanent position

**PURPOSE FOR JOB ASSIGNMENT**:Execute tank site activities safely and incident free. Undertake tank work operations as assigned, including on-the-job monitoring of safety, permitting, quality and productivity in order to achieve the requirements of the Tank Team goals. Communicate Quality, Safety and Job requirements to all contractors. This is national role and will encompass travel requirements.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Execute tank site activities safely and without incident.
- Coordinate Contractor site tank maintenance activities, for completion of tank T&I to ZERO incidents, ahead of schedule and under budget.
- Review and actively contribute to work methods, technical procedures, work instructions, work schedules, equipment, and design evaluations for tank T&I activities.
- Attend, contribute and monitor Contractor safety job starts, toolboxes and LPS Stewardship meetings.
- Set priorities in conjunction with the Tank Programme.
- Take action to correct deficiencies identified in quality system audits, NLIs, LIs and LPOs as applicable.
- Implementation of quality and technical procedures, work instructions and trade practices.
- Assist with work scheduling in conjunction with the Project Manager and Tank Coordinator.
- Provide project feedback to the Tank Coordinator.
- Ensuring that field personnel comply with Occupational, Health and Safety requirements.
- Carry out LPOs (once a month as a minimum); and
- Establish a strong relationship with operational personnel.
- Issuing work permits as per company and/or WPCG - permit to work systems.

**Essential requirements & knowledge**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (or related trade discipline i.e. mechanical, boilermaker, welder, fitter& turner etc ).
- API653 Tank Inspector qualifications.
- 5+ years tank supervision experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong focus on relevant codes and standards as well as legislation including Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety.
- Strength in stakeholder engagement on cross functional issues.
- Current Australian work rights
- Full Car Licence

- AICIP certified or equivalent and Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)e experience
- Familiar with supply chain assets, including policies and procedures.
- Capable in providing technical advice in relation to tank design, repair/maintenance, and construction.
- Confined space ticket and working at heights

**ACCOUNTABILITY**:Ensure site activities are undertaken safely and without incident. Specific project targets are set by the Tank Project Manager.

**KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS**:The incumbent will work closely with Company Operations Personnel, Contractors, and Sub-contractors. The position requires the capacity to motivate and influence and persuade staff to work as a cohesive and productive team focused on achieving specified outcomes in a timely manner.

**SAFETY AND QUALITY**:

- Adhering to the responsibilities and authorities as defined in Company procedures;
- Ensuring company procedures are followed (including activities undertaken by Contractors);
- Assist in developing procedures (as required) to execute work in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
- Initiate actions to prevent occurrences of any non-conformances.
- Actively participate in and promote the “Right First Time” quality philosophy; and
- Participate in the continuous improvement (CI) process within the company).
- Implement LPO as per Company Cintellate loss prevention systems
