- Working for a Global company this is a unique role involving interstate travel for 4 -6 weeks at a time due to the schedule of Tank Programme for the next 12 - 24 months within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Any exposure/ experience with Tank construction, Permit Operations, Hydrocarbons and working within a Hazardous environment highly desirable couple with the essential requirements below.
- Extremely interesting position for an applicant with the right skill set, with travel throughout Australia.-
**Purpose of role**:

- Execute tank site activities safely and incident free.
- Undertake tank work operations as assigned, including on-the-job monitoring of safety, permitting, quality and productivity in order to achieve the requirements of the Tank Team goals.
- Communicate Quality, Safety and Job requirements to all contractors.
- This is national role and will encompass travel requirements.

**Essential requirements & knowledge**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (_or related trade discipline i.e. mechanical, boilermaker, welder, fitter& turner etc_ ).
- 5+ years tank supervision experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong focus on relevant codes and standards as well as legislation including Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety.
- Strength in stakeholder engagement on cross functional issues.
- Current Australian work rights
- Full car / class c licence any state

- ** API653 Tank Inspector qualifications**.
- ** AICIP certified** or equivalent **and Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).** Experience
- 5+ years storage tank maintenance and construction experience (Tank Engineer, Tank Inspector or Asset Inspection experience in oil and gas).
- Familiar with supply chain assets, including policies and procedures.
- Capable in providing technical advice in relation to tank design, repair/maintenance, and construction.
- Has a positive approach to provide solutions?

**Responsibilities**:

- Execute tank site activities safely and without incident.
- Coordinate Contractor site tank maintenance activities, for completion of tank T&I to ZERO incidents, ahead of schedule and under budget.
- Review and actively contribute to work methods, technical procedures, work instructions, work schedules, equipment, and design evaluations for tank T&I activities.
- Attend, contribute and monitor Contractor safety job starts, toolboxes and LPS Stewardship meetings.
- Set priorities in conjunction with the Tank Programme.
- Take action to correct deficiencies identified in quality system audits, NLIs, LIs and LPOs as applicable.
- Implementation of quality and technical procedures, work instructions and trade practices.
- Assist with work scheduling in conjunction with the Project Manager and Tank Coordinator.
- Provide project feedback to the Tank Coordinator.
- Ensuring that field personnel comply with Occupational, Health and Safety requirements.
- Carry out LPOs (once a month as a minimum); and
- Establish a strong relationship with operational personnel.
- Issuing work permits as per Company and/or WPCG - permit to work systems.

The successful applicant will work closely with Company Operations Personnel, Contractors, and Sub-contractors.
