The purpose of the Cyber Security Analyst position is to detect, contain, remediate, and prevent security incidents affecting the corporate IT Infrastructure, Applications, Data and Users.

The role is a central point of detection and coordination for major security incidents and will be following the incident management processes.

As part of the deliverables will be maintain our Security Threat Framework and resulting implementation, support and ongoing management of new security systems/processes to mitigate agreed risks.

**Daily Tasks**:

- Daily monitoring of security solutions including, Tenable Security Centre, LogRhythm, Cisco Umbrella, etc
- Perform vulnerability scanning and advise to remediation.
- Evaluate impact of security bulletins including, AUSCert, SANS, Vendors, etc
- Identify and bring to attention breaches and potential intrusion incidents.
- Pro-actively use cyber threat information, skills and intuition to explore vast amount of data to detect security threats.
- Respond to business security enquiries escalated from the frontline via Cyber Threat desk.
- Help build and maintain Security Threat Framework of all internal assets
- Implement preventive and corrective counter-measures against cyber-threats;
- Security awareness training.Identify and bring to attention breaches and potential intrusion incidents;
- Analyse security breaches to determine root cause.

**What we need**:

- 1 - 3 Years’ experience in a Cyber Security role
- Understanding of cyber security issues such as computer intrusions, malicious code, phishing and SPAM.
- Good understanding of System Admin of standard Windows infrastructure and process to troubleshoot incidents.
- Good understanding of threat actors Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP’s) and how these could relate to the Macquarie Services environment.
- LogRhythm experience
- Sentinel experience
