**The Role**:
This Government Agency is seeking a Security Lead to be accountable in detecting and preventing cyber threats across the organisations infrastructure and finding creative ways to protect it in partnership with vendors.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Investigating, responding to, and reporting on, security incidents.
- Liaising with stakeholders to identify controls and prepare management reports regarding security incidents.
- Evaluating and recommending new security products and advising on implementation into existing environments without interruption to services.
- Assisting with development, deployment, and maintenance of security policies, procedures, standards, and strategies.

**The Skills & Experience Required**:

- 5 years’ demonstrated experience in information/IT security with a focus on cyber risk.
- Relevant regulatory and industry standards relevant to data/information security and cyber risk prevention.
- Strong appreciation of rules and regulations and an affinity for compliance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement experience is required.
- Public Sector experience would be ideal.
