**The company**

Launch is excited to be working with one of Victoria’s leading government departments. We are looking for a passionate Cyber Security Analyst to ensure assets are protected from unauthorised access, and appropriate loss prevention is in place in a permanent role.

**The Role**

The successful Cyber Security Analyst will ensure compliance in line with industry standards such as The Victorian Protective Data Security Standards (VPDSS).

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Pro-actively increase information, data integrity and security whilst maintaining fluidity, collaboration and efficiency whilst providing regular reporting and metrics.
- Continuously update the information systems management standard to ensure the policies and procedures in place reflect current state of the environment.
- Continuously update company’s incident response plan and disaster recovery policies and
- Work with the Infrastructure Manager to perform tests and uncover
- Generate audit reports and assist with the review process for IT and business managers to evaluate the efficacy of the security policies in
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management to finetune logical controls. Includes staying up to date on information technology trends and security standards.
- Build and generate cyber security training campaigns and simulation exercises to promote and create cyber security awareness across the organisation.
- Analyse SIEM security alerts and investigate security breaches within a defined area of responsibility to identify the root cause.

**About You**

To be successful you will need:

- 3 - 5 years of experience in a Cyber Security role
- Ability to design, implement and upgrade security measures, frameworks and controls.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
- Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
- You will have in-depth knowledge in XDR (Crowdstrike Suite), Content Filtering/Private Access Network (ZScaler), Firewalls (Fortigate), Event Management (SIEM)
