**About us**

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.

The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.

**About the role**
- Provide advanced case management to clients with a range of complex needs, taking an holistic, strengthsbased and collaborative approach.
- Engage with clients through assessment and treatment planning to develop a person-centred individual support plan.
- Provide evidence-based information about treatment/support needs and progress to judiciary and other key stakeholders in ARC List hearings through regular Court attendance. Prepare reports on client progress and effectively speak to your work in a court setting.
- Possess knowledge of the safe and effective delivery of evidence-informed interventions. Ability to assess and manage risks to the client and others. Ensure clear communication, documentation, information security and confidentiality.
- Skilfully work with diversity in a way that displays respect and cultural sensitivity, and ensuring that services are delivered in a way that is family/person-centred, and responsive to and inclusive of the diverse needs and backgrounds of all clients.
- Build and maintain effective and collaborative relationships within the court and with external service providers.
- Develop knowledge of local service systems and referral pathways. Collaborating with other services to reduce barriers to service access.
- Maintain and extend professional competence through reflective practice, professional development and utilising supervision.
- Support the identification and implementation of practice improvements to enhance the quality of the program's response to clients with complex mental health and disability support needs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current treatment and support options for clients with complex mental health and disability support needs.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to case managers, particularly within their area of advanced knowledge or experience.
- Other duties as directed.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualification (minimum Diploma level; degree level highly desirable) relevant to case management practice with forensic clients; such as social work, psychology, welfare, drug and alcohol or another related field, and/or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated capacity or experience in case management of clients presenting with complex needs, with well-developed knowledge and/or relevant experience in at least one of the following speciality areas: mental health, acquired brain injury, disability, alcohol and substance use, family violence, or homelessness highly desirable.
- Experience in or demonstrated capacity to provide coaching and mentoring to case managers, particularly within an area of advanced knowledge or experience.
