Across the 200 square kilometre area, the total population is predicted to double over the next 12 years. With a Digital, Technology and Innovation branch of around 40, Camden Council are seeking to hire experienced IT Leaders to help support the accelerated growth of the region.

**Your New Role**:
**Key accountabilities**:
**Technology Services Management**:
Designing, implementing, and overseeing the Council's ICT systems and infrastructure, aligning them with strategic goals and council standards.

Developing and executing strategies for both IT Cloud and on-premises infrastructure, emphasising cost-efficiency and optimal utilisation.

Managing the timely deployment of technology projects, including budget oversight.

Contributing significantly to the development and implementation of robust information security policies and controls.

Establishing and reporting on IT governance frameworks to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Guiding and supporting the IT Service Delivery team in resolving technical issues and maintaining documented procedures for operational activities.

Staying updated on emerging technologies and trends to foster innovation within the team and recommend strategic enhancements.

**Vendor & Stakeholder Management**:
Cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive digital transformation.

Overseeing vendor engagement and procurement processes, ensuring adherence to approved strategies.

Negotiating with vendors to achieve effective outcomes and monitoring procurement processes for transparency and competitiveness.

**Leadership**:
Mentoring and motivating a diverse team to ensure collaboration and high performance.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to navigate the technology landscape and achieve organisational goals.

Implementing the strategic direction for Council's ICT environment and overseeing corporate reporting and performance data.

**Branch Activities**:
Actively participating in IT audit and assurance activities to ensure information security.

Following change control processes and collaborating effectively with internal teams on projects.

Representing the Council at networking events and fulfilling other relevant duties as assigned.

**Your Skills & Experience**:
We'd love to hear from you if you have most of the following key experience/capabilities:
5+ years in technology leadership roles.

Proven track record in technology initiatives.

Strong team leadership and operational excellence.

Deep understanding of IT trends and governance principles.

Proficiency in cybersecurity and IT service management.

Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Experience in guiding digital solutions and strong communication skills.
