Aerial Lidar Operator

RPS has an immediate need for an Aerial LiDAR Operator to join our team in Fortitude Valley. If you’re seeking an interesting role, where no two days are the same and you can spend your days away from a desk, this is for you
You will work with our Mapping team and our aeronautical partners flying to different parts of the country on a weekly basis capturing data using our Lidar Scanners and transporting/transferring this back to our team of Analysts and Client Managers. NB this role requires regular travel throughout Australia.
**Key responsibilities**
- Aerial inspection & data collection
- Logistics and data management
- Daily communication with pilots and Mapping Manager
**Qualifications required**
- While not essential, experience OR degree in the following would be highly regarded:
- Photogrammetry and/or aerial survey
- GIS, survey or related Geospatial discipline.
- Knowledge of computers and technology including confidence in troubleshooting problems as they occur.
- Preferred exposure to the aviation industry and any associated certifications (e.g. Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate)
