Permanent Perth based Botanist position, working with a major infrastructure company

**Your new company**

I am currently working with a major infrastructure company that is looking for a Botanist, this company is working on some large rail projects across Western Australia.

**Your new role**

As the Botanist you will be responsible for:

- Providing highly technical advice and completing required surveys and reports to support regulatory approvals.
- Assisting the Environmental Lead to assess and manage risks and activities that have the potential to damage and/or harm flora and ecosystem values protected under the EPBC
- Assisting in obtaining external approvals and liaising with regulators in relation to flora including but not limited to assessments under Part IV

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Bachelors degree or similar in a related field
- Strong Taxonomic flora expertise, particularly in the states mid-west, wheat belt, southwest, coastal and goldfields
- The ability to use relevant resources and diagnostic keys to identify flora, vegetation complexes and vegetation types
- The ability to analyse data and prepare technical reports to a high standard, catering to wide range of disturbance activities for maintenance, major projects and expansion.
