About the role
Due to an internal move, we have an opportunity for a Team Lead Systems to lead a team of engineers providing systems engineering expertise based in Brisbane.
Reporting to Manager Systems, Software and Avionics, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of aerospace products and services to agreed priorities, timeframes and cost constraints and continual improvement of the platforms. This is expected to be achieved through the effective management of personnel reporting to you, identification and management of issues impacting achievement of milestones and identification and management of project issues.

**Specifically, you will**:

- Ensure capability and capacity to perform development, design, substantiation and certification of defined systems for the Engineering organization
- Ensure expertise in the discipline of Systems & Avionics Engineering relevant to Initial and Continued Airworthiness.
- Provide strong leadership skills, to build, motivate and lead an innovative, high performing team and foster a positive culture

- Bachelor of Engineering in Avionics, Electrical, Electronic Systems or Mechatronics (Australian accredited)
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)
- Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations (e.g. DASR, CAANZ, CASA, etc.), standards and internal best practices
- Experience in people management and leading a united team in the achievement of measurable results and strategic goals
- Systems Engineering with particular focus on requirements capture and allocation
- Ability to support AAP Sales organisation and create compelling offers for your defined products and services
- Potential to act as Expert in an avionics discipline and exercise Engineering Authority at a high level (Design Approval/Certification Verification Engineer)
- Experience of reporting and metrics to communicate progress of engineering activities
