**About the Role**

Based at our Head Office in Adelaide, this position will report to the Senior Manager for Brand, Sponsorships and Internal Communications and is responsible for embedding Santos’ strategy and vision internally, while improving employee engagement and building advocacy.

Reporting to the Senior Manager for Brand, Sponsorships and Internal Communications, this role provides strategic advice to ensure best practice internal communication standards, tools, and campaigns across the whole organisation.

The role also ensures a consistent and coordinated approach to communication activities across the Australian business, while providing guidance and support for embedding of internal communications practices regionally, in Timor-Leste, PNG and Alaska.

Key accountabilities include:

- Developing and leading the implementation of the Santos internal communication strategy, aligned to Santos’ strategy - across a mix of channels that inform and engage employees.
- Draft and edit a high standard of written material within tight timeframes, including executive briefings for the CEO office.
- Develop effective relationship support interpretation of internal communications messages relevant for various geographically and culturally diverse target audiences.
- Design and deliver change management programs and support internal engagement initiatives such as the Employee Value Proposition.
- Manage the Santos staff intranet, from writing company news stories to overseeing the user experience, as well as advising others on strategies to best manage their ‘owned’ pages.
- Working across the business, unearth company stories that can be celebrated and shared with our people.
- Provide expert advice to internal business leaders and project managers on the effective use of internal communication channels, as well as strategies to achieve their objectives.
- Develop approach to embed cross-organisational communications and collaboration practices.
- Ensure internal communications align with the established tone-of-voice and brand principles.

**About You**

You will know how to interact with internal audiences to drive engagement and have significant experience shaping and delivering internal communications strategies within a complex environment.

You will be skilled in detailed planning and preparation of communications for a variety of internal stakeholder groups and work quickly and efficiently to deliver messages in a timely, collaborative, and creative manner.
